Founded in 1967 and now led by Peter Cook, the company represents three generations of skilled roofers dedicated to providing high-quality workmanship and reliable service. From humble beginnings as a trainee roofer, the business grew into a full partnership and became a limited company in 2002. Over the decades, we’ve built a reputation for excellence across Dunmow, North and East London, Chingford, Chigwell, and Forest Gate. Our team is fully registered with the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board), and we are members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. Meet The Team
At the heart of our business is Peter, a highly skilled roofer with an NVQ Diploma in Roofing Occupations and extensive hands-on experience as a slater and tiler. His training includes sheet lead bossing and welding, a CITB Health and Safety Test, and St John Ambulance Emergency Aid in the Workplace, ensuring both technical excellence and safety on every project. Supported by a dedicated team, we pride ourselves on being registered with the CITB, members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen (A045456), fully insured, and licensed by the Environment Agency for responsible waste disposal.
A couple of weeks after exchanging contracts on our house sale, our roof started to leak. It was an old roof, and we decided the best option was to replace it rather than attempt a repair and try to convince the buyer that it was okay. Peter attended within the hour to supply an opinion and a quote, which was acceptable. The scaffolding went up the next day, and the roof covering was fully replaced six weather-permitting workdays later (14 days later, as it was a very rainy period). Our buyer remains on board, and all now appears well. Peter and his sons are a polite and presentable team. They did an impressive job and bent over backwards to get the job done quickly for us. The company is local to this part of London (Chingford) and is long-established, which gives us more confidence in the 25-year guarantee supplied at the end of works.
